Pendine is set to Welcome motocross racing for the first time in decades | This is South Wales: "PENDINE'S sands are to echo to the sound of motorcycles racing for the first time in decades this weekend.

Motocross beach racing, organised by the Dredgers — Laugharne Motocross Club, will take place on Saturday at the sands.

Cross Inn-based Anthony Roberts of the Dredgers-Laugharne Motocross Club said: "There will be small jumps in there, it will be like a motocross event.

"We're hoping to have more than 100 riders, but it's difficult to say, it could vary from 80-180."
