Insider News Wales – Funding lift for Pendine prom

Insider News Wales – Funding lift for Pendine prom: "A £500,000 regeneration project is to get underway in Pendine after Carmarthenshire Council secured grant funding.
The funding is from the Green Seas Beach Improvement Programme which forms part of the "Visit Wales" Environment for Growth (EG4) Coastal Tourism Project. It is part funded by the Convergence European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government.
Plans are being developed for a new promenade for the seaside village of Pendine. The proposals will seek to create a continuous promenade route along the waterfront that links in with the Wales Costal Path and other visitor destinations in the village.
The scheme will be developed in phases during the winter.
"Extensive work has been carried out to find out exactly what improvements are needed," said councillor Clive Scourfield, regeneration executive board member at Carmarthenshire Council."
