Pendine Sands Races | Ultra Running: "The Malcolm Campbell Trophy (1 mile timed event)
Do you feel the need for speed?
In February 1927 Malcolm Campbell broke the land speed record travelling at 174.22 mph on Pendine Sands.
This race honours this achievement, allowing competitors to run a straight mile, following the same tracks as his famous Blue Bird car. In conjunction with The Malcolm Campbell Bluebird Trust, all finishers will receive a certificate, noting their times and signed for authenticity by Gina Campbell or Dan Wales (grandson of Malcolm Campbell) and UK record holder for the fastest Land Speed electric car."
