St Clears Times: ST CLEARS - LAUGHARNE - BANCYFELIN - PENDINE NEWS: "There have been reports of a monsterous fish, that appeared in the form of a woman near Gybnanes Point, Pendine, Carmarthenshire. The creature was first sighted by Thomas Reynolds from Pendine, who then called others to witness the creature. Dr. William Saunders of Pendine later examined Reynolds and some of the other witnesses declaring them of sound mind."
