High note to help charities | This is South Wales

High note to help charities | This is South Wales: "NEARLY £4,000 has been raised for local charities following a recent choral concert at Laugharne's castle.

Earlier this year Laugharne choir The Corran Singers, a choir from Ysgol Dyffryn Taf and Côr De Cymru came together to perform in front of a huge crowd of people gathered in the glorious sunshine.

There were also solo performances by Clive Edwards and local diva Sallie Griffiths at the event.

A total of £3,750 was raised at the Choir Bonanza at the event, with the money split between the Ty Hafan children's hospice, West Wales Sailing Venture, and the children's diabetic unit at Glangwili Hospital.

All charities have been invited to attend a special Patrons Concert on October 14, at 7.30pm."
